COURSE AT A GLANCE - If you do not know kettlebell basics and want to then this is for you.

This course is personally run by the London Kettlebells Training Director, Steve, and is limited to 12 people to ensure instruction quality, adequate learning and safety.
After teaching many personal trainers to become kettlebell instructors Steve now has the time to turn his attention to the rest of the public. This course is aimed at the following groups of people
Those that have never seen a kettlebell and are interested
Those that have seen or used them and don’t really know what to do.
This course is not aimed at
People who are competent with kettlebells and want some fine tuning – try level 2
Fitness professionals looking for CPD or instructor courses – find out more about our kettlebell instructor courses
People scared of working out, having fun and learning – stay in bed
Aims and objectives – that everyone leaving this workshop can integrate kettlebells into their training the next day!
What the course covers
- Functional warm up – how to prepare the body for exercise in order to minimise injury and maximise the benefit of the workout.
- Stretch and joint mobility – how to prepare the muscles and joints for exercise so that they function effectively and without pain or limitation.
- Squat and deadlift – learning to squat and deadlift correctly has lifelong value and will protect you from lower back injuries!
- 2 hand swing – the foundation of all kettlebell training. This exercise alone is a full body workout as you will see!
- 1 hand swing and changing – progressing from the 2 hand swing we change hands and engage the core muscles.
- Clean – how to get the kettlebell from the floor to the body for overhead training.
- Press – the best exercise for strong and defined shoulders.
- High pull – preparation for the snatch exercise which we will cover if everyone is ready for it!
- Reverse windmill – isolate and strengthen the core with this unique exercise!
- Windmill – take core training a stage further and add gravity to the mix!
- Half get up – learn to blowtorch your abdominals the kettlebell way!
- Full get up – combine strength, endurance, co-ordination, balance and mental focus for the ultimate kettlebell exercise!
- Routine design and circuits – now you can use it, what do you do with it? How to get the most from your kettlebell training with combination exercises and circuit based routines.
Q&A
There is one prerequisite for this workshop.
You must be of “reasonable” fitness in order to cover the 3-4 hours of material and this means not collapsing when you are required to do more than breathe.
